Desk Mount
A compact mounting bracket designed for a specific computer and a specific installation location: the inner side panel of a desk.
THE TASK
Put the computer where it is useful, not where a universal bracket allows
The customer wanted the HP EliteDesk 800 mounted vertically on the inside surface of the furniture instead of occupying working or storage space.
A dedicated bracket was modelled around the computer body and the available mounting surface, while leaving the front panel, USB ports and power button accessible.
01 · CAD
Designed around the actual device
The bracket follows the enclosure dimensions rather than using a large adjustable universal frame. Mounting tabs provide fixing points to the furniture, while the retaining geometry keeps the computer in position.
02 · INSTALLED
Compact and accessible
Once installed, the computer is kept off the work surface but remains easy to reach. The orientation preserves access to the front connections and controls.
This type of project can be relatively small and quick compared with a multi-part installation, but it solves a very specific problem that generic hardware may not solve as cleanly.
